CRDF Global Hosts Successful Cyber Exercises and Experiential Education Event (CE3) in Brazil

group on stage CE3

On September 12, during the LATAM CISO Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, CRDF Global hosted the Cyber Exercises and Experiential Education Event (CE3), a dynamic leadership simulation drill.

The event was organized with the support of the United States Government and led by experts from the SANS Institute.

During this immersive exercise, utilizing the Cyber42 format developed by SANS Institute, interdisciplinary teams from Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina engaged in a hands-on cybersecurity simulation drill. Participants were challenged to manage strategy, communications, and decision-making in the face of a simulated cyber crisis. The exercise highlighted the need for coordinated responses across sectors and disciplines, while strengthening participants’ individual and organizational adaptive capacity.

CE3 brought together 16 leaders from the private sector, government, and academia, creating a rich environment for dialogue and intersectoral knowledge exchange. The diverse perspectives and active participation enabled meaningful discussions on regional cybersecurity resilience.

CRDF Global extends its appreciation to all participants and partners for their engagement and contributions. This initiative represented an important step in fostering collaboration, leadership, and preparedness in the cybersecurity domain.

We also gratefully acknowledge the United States Government for their support, which made this event possible.
