Summary

CRDF Global will implement a two-day symposium in Ankara, Türkiye to enhance security measures in the Turkish chemical and pharmaceutical industries by providing essential materials and creating a forum for networking, idea exchange, and collaborative solution design. The objective of this symposium will be to train 30 Turkish chemical and pharmaceutical industry participants, including manufacturers, distributors, academic institutions, and government agencies on the transfer risk of materials, equipment, expertise, and financing to state proliferators of chemical weapons (CW) and pharmaceutical-based agents (PBAs) in the region. After this training, participants will be able to contextualize and apply new security practices to current issues, utilize learned local experiences, and develop sustainable solutions for emerging and ongoing proliferation concerns in the region.

Scope

The subject matter expert (SME), hereby referred to as “The Contractor” will develop course materials for the symposium and travel to Ankara, Türkiye to present the course materials during the event as an SME for Strengthening Chemical Security Practices to Prevent Exploitation of Chemical Supply Chains in Türkiye to be held on November 15-16, 2024 (TBC).
