CRDF Global Welcomes Jim Banaski as New Global Health Senior Technical Advisor

CRDF Global is pleased to announce Jim Banaski as a new Senior Technical Advisor for Global Health. Banaski joins CRDF Global after retiring from the U.S. government, including 28 years of combined federal service in the US Army Chemical Corps, the Department of Defense, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Banaski has also served as an Adjunct Professor/Instructor for Drury University, Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, and Georgetown University. Throughout his career, he has specialized in capacity building in Public Health Emergency Management programs to countries in Central and South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa.
Banaski has unique expertise and experience in the planning, development, and implementation of Public Health Emergency Operation Centers (PHEOC and in the adaptation of CDC’s public health emergency management (PHEM) frameworks, functions, and program elements for capacity building with partner country governments and organizations. While at CDC, Banaski became a recognized PHEM expert, providing technical assistance and capacity building consultation around the world, concentrating on PHEOC development and operations, Incident Management Systems, and the integration of public health programs into emergency management structures. He is a recognized expert in the integration of public health preparedness and response programs into broad governmental programs and in the adaptation and implementation of the standardized curriculum for public health emergency management developed at the CDC for international partners.
