CRDF Global Announces Alonzo Fulgham as Chairman of Board of Directors
Alonzo Fulgham, expert and leader in international development policy, strategy, and operations, has been named as Chairman of the CRDF Global Board of Directors.
“Through his years of service to CRDF Global, Alonzo has helped guide our evolution to a globally integrated platform supporting U.S. national security priorities across domains in digital resilience, global health, and security & stabilization,” said CRDF Global CEO Mike Dignam. “His decades of experience have informed our strategic growth into the areas of highest impact to human security, and I’m thrilled to welcome him to this leadership role on our Board of Directors.”

Mr. Fulgham brings three decades of experience in international development policy, planning, and operations to his leadership role on the CRDF Global Board. He currently serves as Executive Vice President-Defense/Homeland at VIATEQ Corporation, a federal government contractor providing IT solutions, airport security, program management, and business operations. Prior to his current role, Mr. Fulgham served as Director at Palladium International; President of Galileo Energy Partners, LLC; Senior Vice President for Strategy and Sustainable International Development at CH2M HILL; and as Principal of his own consulting firm, TJM International, which he founded in 2012.
In 2009, Mr. Fulgham was appointed as Acting Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and in this role managed a diverse global enterprise of over $25 billion annually in more than 88 countries, with a professional staff of more than 7,000 worldwide. From 2006-2009, as the first Chief Operating Officer ever appointed to that agency, Mr. Fulgham had broad authority for policy, strategic planning, and implementation.
Previously, Mr. Fulgham served as USAID Mission Director to Afghanistan, where he implemented innovative stabilization and development programs in support of the largest bilateral aid program in the world. He also served as the Director for South Asian Affairs at USAID, overseeing programs with a combined development and humanitarian assistance budget of over $1 billion.
In addition to his full-time roles across government and private industry, Mr. Fulgham has channeled his time and expertise into a host of organizations dedicated to international relations. In addition to his role on the CRDF Global Board, he currently serves as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; the American Academy for Diplomacy, where he formerly served as Vice Chair; and The Spy Museum. He has previously served on the boards of Palladium International; Meridian International; the International Advisory Council of the Carnegie Mellon Institute for Strategy and Technology; Shared Interest; GRM International; the Futures Group; Malaria No More; the William Davidson Institute; the U.S. Millennium Challenge Corporation; and PAE, a Lockheed Martin Company.
Mr. Fulgham holds a Bachelor of Arts in business and economics from Fisk University and a Master of Arts from the Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.
