Summary
CRDF Global is seeking subject matter expert(s) (SMEs) with experience educating global audiences on the importance of securing emerging technologies within incubator spaces and innovation hubs. The SME(s) will develop and lead an online asynchronous course and four virtual hackathons, which will take place in-person at local incubator hubs in Brazil, Malaysia, Poland, and South Africa.
Scope
The expert(s) will conduct research and analysis on the proliferation risks of emerging technologies and how to build a culture of security in innovation hubs in the participating countries (Brazil, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Poland, and South Africa). SME (s) will work with CRDF Global to develop training material and create anasynchronous course. The SMEs will also be available for reach-back or questions from participants during four virtual hackathons. The training curriculum will highlight the landscape and threat of dual-use of emerging technologies, the importance of emerging technology security in incubator spaces and innovation hubs, and fictional scenarios, which combines real-world situations and exercises to aid in understanding how to secure emerging technologies. The hackathons will cover the methods of developing concepts that will instill a culture of security in incubators and innovation hubs, which could include ideas for training apps, cybersecurity measures, or innovative ways to increase awareness of risks or protect technology.
