Africa Scientific Peer-Review Publication and Grant Writing Workshop, 18-19 November 2015
CRDF Global is pleased to announce an opportunity for African scientists working in cancer research in Africa to participate in the African Scientific Peer-Review Publication and Grant Writing Workshop, developed in conjunction with the 2015 African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC) International Cancer Conference, convening in Marrakech, Morocco, November 18-19. The workshop is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Cancer Institute (NCI) in partnership with AORTIC and CRDF Global.
The training aims to provide participants the opportunity to develop grant writing and scientific peer-review publication writing skills to become strong independent researchers within their fields of study.
The training is open to beginning investigators, defined as a clinician or scientist who received their highest degree of study or Master of Public Health or its equivalent within the past seven years. Applicants must be living and working Africa, and should have adequate English speaking and writing language skills to actively participate.
Participants chosen will receive funding for travel and hotel accommodations during the workshop as well as the conference for those pre-registered to attend.
