Cybersecurity Technical Specialist, Security Assistance
As a member of CRDF Global’s security assistance division, Nathan brings experience in cybersecurity from a technical and policy perspective. As an affiliated expert in Cybersecurity for CRDF Global, Nathan has supported cybersecurity-related strategy and thought leadership and supported cybersecurity-related Security Assistance growth efforts as well as analysis of and addressing program cybersecurity needs. Prior to joining CRDF Global, Nathan was at cybersecurity firm FireEye where he worked as strategic intelligence and government analyst and provided threat intelligence analysis by analyzing telemetry data to identify signals indicative of cybercrime actors while also utilizing language and technical skills in identifying threat actors exhibiting bot-like behaviors on social media. His experience included global risk assessment, intelligence analysis, emerging technology, malware analysis, and geopolitical risk analysis. Nathan has several cybersecurity certifications from IBM as well as CompTIA Security plus in cybersecurity. Prior to FireEye, Nathan supported Office of Senator Cory Booker (N.J.) as a foreign policy fellow and worked at the Department of State Private Sector Exchanges, Office of Policy Planning and Resources, and Office of the Under-Secretary of Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs in various positions.
Nathan holds M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University, B.A. in African Area Studies & Economics from Rutgers University, and Graduate Certificate from Johns Hopkins, Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies.
