Seeking Experts on Prosecutorial Capacity for Sanctions Enforcement

CRDF Global is seeking Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with experience developing and delivering instruction and training on best practices to enhance the capacity of prosecutors internationally to proactively prosecute violations of UN sanctions on countries such as North Korea and Iran. The Subject Matter Expert would build, tailor, and deploy curricula for government and non-governmental audiences around the world, both in person and via online methods such as live or recorded webinars.

The Subject Matter Expert would have experience developing and delivering trainings on how national-level judiciaries can apply domestic law to prosecute UN sanctions violations, including a deep understanding of relevant UN Security Council resolutions, international judicial structures, and the most common forms of UN sanction violations by countries such as North Korea and Iran. Moreover, the SME would have knowledge of how state actors—notably DPRK and Iran—seek to circumvent these sanctions regimes such as through proliferation finance activities, prohibited trade in petroleum products and coal, or the illicit activities of diplomats and overseas laborers.
