Rodney W. Nichols Fellowship Program

CRDF Global is pleased to introduce the Rodney W. Nichols Fellowship Program, honoring the late Rod Nichols and his lifetime commitment not only to science diplomacy, but to the professional development of those early in their careers.
This program provides a 3-6 month fellowship opportunity to early career professionals in the U.S. to engage in international collaboration. The competitively-selected fellow will spend up to six months at an international institution, working alongside peers on a specific research topic involving global health security, cybersecurity, or newly-emerging issues of global security. Upon return to the U.S., the fellow will complete a capstone project designed to deepen international collaboration related to the fellow’s research topic. The fellow will also organize a workshop or roundtable event, convening experts and leading organizations to share observations and lessons learned with the goal of strengthening cross-border relationships and international perspectives on their research area.
