Chemical Security

Chemical Security

Whether it is preventing the spread of chemical weapons or upgrading laboratories, we have one goal: keeping people safe from chemicals and chemicals safe from people.

From plastics to agriculture to medicines, we rely on chemicals to improve our lives. But those same chemicals also have the potential to cause tremendous harm to us and the environment. Poor chemical security is a threat to global security, and we are committed to helping scientists and researchers improve their abilities to safely and responsibly handle chemicals to reduce their potential negative impacts.

KEY CAPABILITIES

STRENGTHENING THE CAPACITY OF CHEMICAL EXPERTS

We coordinate and support workshops that train scientists, policymakers, and emergency management personnel on how to better understand and manage the sensitive and complex nature of chemical security. Whether demonstrating how to establish safe and efficient chemical supply chains or basic chemical management practices, we endeavor to strengthen the capacity of chemical experts.

FOSTERING A CULTURE OF KNOWLEDGE SHARING

We pair chemical leaders with their peers all over the world to facilitate the sharing of ideas, best practices, and policies related to chemical security. Perspective is everything and making sure that we share those perspectives is a key tenant to improving chemical security.
