RePORT India Seeking Admin Coordinator


The Administrative Coordinator (AC) will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of seven TB cohort studies that comprise the RePORT India Consortium   to ensure that the goals of the Common Protocol are achieved. The Common Protocol is designed to develop a well-characterized cohort of data and biological samples from persons with TB and their household contacts to study factors associated with TB treatment outcomes and risk factors for developing TB disease. Under the guidance of the RePORT India Executive Committee Chair, The AC will work with seven Indian medical research institutions and five US-based academic research teams along with US and Indian funding organizations to facilitate the consortium’s activities and to assure that deliverables are achieved. This person will support the development and implementation of effective communication mechanisms between study investigators, the Executive Committee, funders, and support staff. This person will assist in managing the grants under the RePORT India Consortium, including generating and distributing progress reports for the studies, tracking financials, and serving as the main contact for updates on the RePORT India consortium as a whole.  The AC will report directly to the Indian Executive Committee Chair and will be based full-time at the National Institute of Research in Tuberculosis (NIRT) Chennai, India.

The AC will:

  1. Assist the India Chair in consortium supervision and support.
  2. Work with U.S. Secretariat to develop and implement effective communication mechanisms among study sites, the executive committee, consortium working groups, sponsors, and support staff.
  3. Arrange and conduct conferences; record and disseminate meticulously compiled notes/action items.
  4. Participate in Working Group calls and provide coordination support to Working Group Chairs.
  5. Keep track of deadlines for consortium activities and follow-up with consortium members individually.
  6. Coordinate logistics for annal RePORT India conference and assist with travel logistics for PIs attending RePORT International Annual Meeting or other international conferences.
  7. Work with U.S. Secretariat to maintain RePORT India procedures/policies.
  8. Maintain RePORT India website by uploading documents, posting announcements, and ensuring version control.
  9. Assist sites with proposals, progress reports, financial tracking, and requests for disbursements; coordinate and facilitate grant writing.
  10. Track grant submissions, sub-studies, publications, and abstracts.
  11. Compile/develop consortium-related paperwork and document submissions to National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), and contractors.
